David McAllister, Member of the European Parliament, came to visit us as part of the Peace Building Project. The students gained insight into the core idea and fundamental values of the European Union. The importance of the EU’s commitment to peace for young Europeans became clear, especially against the background of historical responsibility and current political challenges. David McAllister called on the students to be grateful for the privilege of living in a democracy and emphasized the significance of the democratic right to vote. The audience was visibly impressed by his speech, which will remain a lasting memory for the students.
